Aviation and Aerospace Technology / Bachelor of Science

Total Credit Hours: 128
Major Credit Hours:  83

The Bachelor of Science in Aviation and Aerospace Technology prepares the student for a career as a professional aviation and aerospace technician. Upon graduation, the successful student will have a minimum of 128 semester hours and will hold the following FAA certificate and rating: Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic.  After matriculation at Lewis University, students are required to do their entire aircraft and aerospace technician training at Lewis. If a student already possesses the FAA AMT license, he or she may enter the Aviation and Aerospace Technology major but must complete all required courses for both  major and General Education.  All transfer students must complete a minimum of 32 hours at Lewis University with at least 12 hours in upper-division coursework.

Aviation and Aerospace Technology majors may double major in another Aviation and Transportation major if four upper-division courses (12 hours) in each major are not duplicated and help to distinguish one major from the other.
