This degree program is offered in both the traditional and accelerated format. The degree requirements are the same in both formats. The degree requirements are listed below. Please note: The HRM Precertification Seminar includes an additional $500+ fee for course materials instead of a textbook. The Internship class does not require a textbook,
II. HRM-Related Electives: (9)
Students are encouraged to choose one of the two tracks below in order to meet the requirement for HRM-related electives. However, they are not required to choose a track. They may choose from any of the courses below to fulfill the elective requirement.
Track 1: Industrial/Organizational Psychology/Organizational Development Track
This track is specifically designed for students wishing to expand their knowledge/skills in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and Organizational Development, and be able to apply that knowledge/skills in an HR setting. It is also designed for students planning to pursue a graduate degree in one of those areas or in a related field.
Please note: Three workshops can replace only one 3-credit elective.
Track 2: Business Administrative Track
This track is specifically designed for students wishing to expand their knowledge/skills in Business Administration, and be able to apply that knowledge/skills more broadly in an organization. It is also ideal for students who are considering pursuing an MBA degree.
