Program Highlights
The International Relations major is offered through the Political Science Department. It is interdisciplinary in that it also incorporates courses from the History Department. Students preparing for careers in government, law, or business can learn more about the relationships among governments and various actors in the international realm as well as the influence of political theory and ideologies on various political systems. They will also learn about various global policy issues including human rights, the impact of globalization, conflicts, and peace initiatives.

Degree Requirements

Majors in International Relations may not double major or minor in Political Science. Four of the upper-division courses in this major (12 credit hours) may not be simultaneously applied to fulfill requirements of a minor or second major at Lewis University.

With approval of the chair, credits earned from a Study Abroad experience may be applied to the 21 hours of electives.
