Liberal Arts / Bachelor of Arts

Total Credit Hours: 128
Major Credit Hours: Varies

The Liberal Arts major provides the student with a broad foundation in the arts and/or sciences. For example, the student can study two very different minors, such as Art and Chemistry, or two minors closely aligned but not overlapping, such as English and History. The Liberal Arts major is fulfilled by completing the credit hours necessary for 2 minors; thus, total credit hours will vary.

This is a stand-alone major. Courses in the 2 minors may not be duplicates. Courses used to fulfill the Liberal Arts major may not be used to apply to other minors (except in the case of general education courses, which may be shared with a third minor or a certificate program). A student may, if his or her schedule permits, earn a third minor taking other courses. Students should work with a representative in the Dean's Office to choose two acceptable minors. Ideally, the combination of the 2 minors gives the student the opportunity to focus on knowledge pertinent to the student's career or personal enrichment.
