Mechanical Engineering / Minor

Minor Credit Hours:18-19

Minor Requirements

Minor: MENG

Mechanical engineering is a broad engineering discipline that complements many other disciplines in science and engineering. The Mechanical Engineering minor would be especially useful for Electrical Engineering majors interested in working at the interface of electrical and mechanical engineering in areas such as mechatronics or robotics. Students in other majors with an interest in employment or graduate school in engineering would also benefit from this minor.

Physics majors in the Engineering Physics concentration are not eligible to minor in mechanical engineering.

All prerequisites for these minor courses must be satisfied outside the minor.
