Program Description
The Radiography Program prepares students to practice in the profession of radiography. Students gain knowledge and skills through classroom instruction, simulation lab, and on-site clinical experiences.
The pre-certification B.S. in Radiography is a cohort-based program that values in person and interactive learning. Cohorts follow a specific course sequence over 5 continuous semesters, once all general education and pre-requisite courses are complete. Through clinical instruction and experience in various settings, students have the opportunity to achieve specific performance objectives and maintain previously learned skills.

Graduates of the Program are eligible to sit for the Radiography Certification Exam administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.

Admission Requirements
Admissions Requirements for the B.S. in Radiography Programs
- An applicant will be considered for admission into the program if the following criteria are met:
- Earned a minimum cumulative college grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.00 on a 4.00 scale
- Successfully complete TEAS Exam before beginning major courses (minimum score of 60% required overall as well as a score of 60% in the Science section)
- Submission of official transcripts from all Colleges and Universities attended.
- Once accepted into the University, a student’s file must be complete before the start of classes and include the following:
- Satisfactory completion of a criminal background check
- Satisfactory completion of a drug screen
- Proof of Completion of all required health/vaccination documentation
- Other clinical compliance documentation as required by the clinical site.
- CPR requirement must be BLS approved through the American Heart Association and completed prior to the start of clinical education. This certification must remain compliant through duration of the Program.
- Post-Certification Track Applicants
- Must have current ARRT Certification
- Must fulfill Lewis University general education requirements
- Must complete minimum of 32 credit hours to fulfill residency requirements
- Post Certification Track students will fulfill Core course requirements via transfer coursework evaluated during the admissions process. Post Track Concentration courses must be taken at Lewis University.
