21-231 Polish for Heritage Speakers

A language maintenance and development course intended for bilingual students who grew up in a Polish-speaking home and speak or understand the language to some extent, but have not had prior instruction in the Polish language and want to improve their language skills through formal study. The course focuses on vocabulary development, literacy skills, grammar, reading and writing, and it includes consideration of the relationship between language and culture. This course does not fulfill the General Education requirement for Humanities.

Restricted to heritage speakers of Polish. Prior approval of the Director of the Foreign Language Program is required.
