Clinical Nutrition
This is a 3+2 agreement where the students complete three years of course work at Lewis University and two years at Rush University. The program leads to a Bachelor of Science in Biology (B.S.) from Lewis University and a Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition (M.S.) from Rush University. The clinical nutrition program curriculum combines theoretical knowledge and evidence-based research with practical clinical applications. Clinical nutritionists are trained to work in careers in public health, research, private industry and academic settings. Nutritionists develop food plans to help people prevent and treat chronic diseases or just maintain healthier lifestyles. Additionally, students learn to design, implement, and present research thereby enhancing their ability to gather, assess, and critically analyze data. Rush University College of Health Sciences and the Biology Department at Lewis University have an articulation agreement.
