MUSC-18700 Songwriting

This course focuses on basic songwriting styles and techniques. Over the course of the semester different songwriting basic methods will be presented and students will be shown methods to develop the necessary skills to compose well-crafted songs. While focusing on songwriting, analysis, and critical listening, students will be encouraged to develop their own musical voice. There are no required pre-requisites for the course. May be repeated for credit.
