21-476 Spanish Seminar

This course aims to provide students with an in-depth understanding of Spanish-speaking countries worldwide. It will focus on these countries’ most recent social, political, and/or cultural developments. Characteristics of each country studied during the semester will be highlighted for a deeper awareness of their cultural differences and similarities. Spanish major seniors that complete this seminar are provided with unique opportunities to be exposed to the culture of Spanish-speaking countries as well as to work on a focused topic of interest that arises from seminar discussions and readings. The student submits an acceptable research paper and must present the research to the class or preferably at a local or national conference.
