A grade of "C-" or better must be earned in a prerequisite course in order to advance to the next course in the sequence.
Dental Hygiene majors may take a Biology class only 2 times. If the student has not achieved a minimum of “C-” after the second attempt, the student may not repeat the class. A student entering this program must have a minimum composite ACT of 21.

II. Advanced Writing Requirement
The advanced writing requirement of the General Education curriculum is satisfied by successful completion of the curricula at Lewis University and the College of DuPage or Parkland College.
III Students complete the professional phase of the program at one of two sites: College of DuPage or Parkland College.
A. College of DuPage Courses (54)
Students admitted by the College of DuPage to the Dental Hygiene program will be awarded a Bachelor of Science degree from Lewis University at the successful completion of the program. Students must complete the following classes. The equivalent College of DuPage course number is in parenthesis next to the title. The equivalent subject code for College of DuPage is DEHYG.
B. Parkland College Courses (49.5)
Students admitted by Parkland College to the Dental Hygiene program will be awarded a Bachelor of Science degree from Lewis University at the successful completion of the program. Students must complete the following classes.
IV. General Education Credits (45)
Dental Hygiene students who change their major must fulfill all General Education requirements as stated in the Lewis University Catalog.
Note: Dental Hygiene students must take the following courses for their Social Science general education requirements:
